Guest speakers called on party officials to listen to the youth and consider selflessness as quality of candidates
“Let us assert our country as a Republic where conflicts are managed through dialogue. The CPDM is calling for renewed consciousness for the beloved nation of Cameroon.” In these words Peter Mafany Musonge, leader of the Permanent Delegation of the Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement (CPDM) to the South West Region opened the seminar in Buea 26 May, 2017.
The seminar was seeking to pave the way for the 2018 expected stream of elections in Cameroon. To prepare militants to embrace the important civic duties of choosing their leaders, the CPDM deployed its academy to deliver thought-provoking, topical lectures tailored on the challenges of the upcoming elections. Exposés delivered in Buea aimed at opening people’s eyes to realities of the political terrain in Cameroon. From the exposés it was evident that the youth have to be listened to very keenly this time, as well as only the leaders with selfless and ordinate ambitions would be accepted
As an immediate implementation of what was learnt the previous day, the top party officials of the South West converged on Mountain Hotel Saturday, May 27, 2017 to begin mapping out strategies to comb the political terrain of the Region.
