After the 25th playing day both teams are still running neck-to-with 25 points each and are only separated by goal difference.

EWith nine days to go in the competition, Lion Blessé of Fotouni have woken up from slumber.  The team which is presently at bottom of the classification table with 21 points beat Feutcheu FC 2-0 in a day 25 encounter at the Bafang Municipal Stadium on Sunday August 6, 2017.

The victory comes as a surprise to fans that have lost hope for their team’s stay in the First Division Championship next season. In spite of the victory, Lion Blessé is still swimming in relegation waters as the team has recorded only four victories this season. However, hopes are high that the team will move ahead in the remaining playing days. Still at the bottom of the table Canon Yaounde is on the downward trend following their 0-1 defeat to Union Sportif of Douala. Colombe of Dja and Lobo now moves one step ahead with 23 points after beating Bamboutos of Mbouda 1-0.

Meanwhile, champions of Cameroon, Coton Sport of Garoua continue to maintain the lead on the unofficial classification table. They beat Racing Bafoussam 4-0 at the Roumde Adja Stadium in Garoua. Following the victory, Coton Sport now has 46 points and secured their leadership position on the league table. The victory is equally the fifth victory for Coton Sport at home this season. Coton Sport’s position at the top is however threatened as Eding Sport of Lekié also has 46 points. Both teams are separated on goals difference. Eding Sport beat Aigle Royal of Menoua 2-0 to move to the top. The team is however working hard to regain its leadership position. APEJES of Mfou occupies the third position with 41 points after they drew 1-1 with Dragon FC of Yaounde.

 In the other encounters, champions of Cameroon, UMS of Loum beat Astres of Douala 1-0, Yong Sport of Bamenda played a 0-0 tie with Stade Renard and New Stars of Douala also played a virgin tie with Unisport of Bafang in Limbe.
