Ministry Of Labour: Newly Commissioned Called To Promote Decent Work


The Minister of Labour and Social Security, Grégoire Owona, has called on staff of the central and external units of his ministry to work in a comprehensive synergy in the direction of the promotion of decent work for all and social security for the greatest number of people in the country. He was speaking last Friday, November 16, 2018 as he commissioned newly appointed personnel according to Prime Ministerial Decree No 2018/9036 of 13 November 2018 and Ministerial (MINTSS) Decision No 00170 of 15 November 2018 and Arrete No 000/56/ of 21 September 2018, into posts of Technical Advisers, Inspectors General, Chiefs of services and bureau at the central and external services of the Ministry.

Gregoire Owona said the appointment texts reflect an ongoing revitalisation, by the rejuvenation of teams, the promotion of the woman’s role and the reward of professional merit in the Ministry. In a bid to consolidate major reforms and challenges that the Ministry of Labour and Social Security must face, the Minister urged the newly appointed to display their professional and academic know-how, adopt a positive attitude and constructive ways of thinkin, so as to give room for increased visibility of the labour and social security sub-sectors. Staff were also called to show proof of self sacrifice at work, dedication, availability, speed in the handling of files, respect for hierarchy, secrecy and discipline in the performance of their dutie
