Kumba: HTTTC Graduation Scheduled For June 2


Students say it is a sign of relief as Vice Chancellor announce graduation on June 2, 2017

 

Students of the first batch of trainees of the Higher Technical Teachers Training College, HTTTC, Kumba of the University of Buea will on Friday June 2, 2017 receive their certificates in a graduation ceremony that has been slated to take place in Kumba.

Going by the communique of May 22, 2017 signed by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Buea, Prof. Nalova Lyonga with reference 2017/0375/UB/VC which CAMNEWS procured a copy, “Students of the Higher Technical Training College-Kumba are hereby informed that the graduation ceremony of the first batch (Reunification Batch) will take place on Friday, 2nd June 2017 at 10am in Kumba”.

The Vice Chancellor’s communuique gives the graduating students three options from which they can choose one as they prepare for the graduation ceremony “pay for, and own, an academic robe for FCFA 30.000 only, hire and academic robe for 5000frs with a deposit of 20000frs which is returned to the student in exchange of the robe immediately after the ceremony and lastly the student has the option of not attending as it is not compulsory.

The communique of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Buea, Prof Nalova Lyonga, further states that the event will be presided over by the Minister of Higher Education, Prof Jacques Fame Ndongo, who also doubles as the chancellor of academic orders.

Regarding the issue of posting the various graduates after the ceremony which has been the cry of most of the would be graduates, Prof. Nalova’s communique indicates that the postings of the graduates will be done immediately after the ceremony by the Minister of Secondary Education, Jean Ernest Ngalle Bibehe.
