Dear newspaper friend, do you think a chicken will ever forget the man who pulled off its wings during winter, no matter how hairy it becomes after? Justice is the greatest interest of man on earth. It is the ligament which holds civilized beings and civilized nations together. Wherever her temple stands, and so long as it is duly honored, there is a foundation for general security, general happiness and general progress for the human race.
Don’t you think the man who passes the sentence should always swing the sword? If you would take a man’s life, you owe him a duty to look into his eyes and hear his final words. And if you cannot bear the colour of his eyes, then perhaps the man does not deserve to die. Therefore, it is better to risk saving a guilty man than to condemn an innocent one!
Where prejudice breeds, where poverty is enforced and where any one class or individual feels that society is an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob and degrade others, neither the heart nor the mind finds rest. And, for how long shall silence reign in the face of cruelty? In keeping silent about evil, in burying it within us, we implant it. And, it shall rise a thousand fold and rip the foundations of righteousness from the new generation! Perhaps justice will never be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are! Who knows?
Remember the four cardinal principles of man to man: avoid harm, reduce harm, remove harm, do good! May everyone’s dream be to stand before God at the end of this journey and say “I used everything you gave me for good!” Tribute to the traditional ruler of Konye! To him, truth conquers all!
