The first ever forum begins in Yaounde today, June 28, 2017.
All is set at the Yaounde Conference Centre for the official opening of the first ever Forum for the Diaspora that holds at the Yaounde Conference Centre from June 28-30, 2017 . The forum holds on the theme, “Cameroon and its Diaspora: Working together for the development of the nation.”
The Yaounde Conference Centre witnessed anthill activities on June 27, 2017 in prelude to the official opening ceremony. Hundreds of members of the Cameroonian Diaspora are already in the country for the forum. Yesterday was essentially devoted to pre-forum activities that focused on workshops and setting up of exhibition stands. It was also an occasion to accelerate business and professional contacts within the framework of B2B method and other contacts between local entrepreneurs and experts from the Diaspora.
The workshops were on the key areas where future projects have been identified. The workshop on the Economy, Finance and Real Estate Development was on the theme, “Economic development, creation of financial values and real estate.” The workshop moderated by Diane Ndeuna, Consultant and ONUDI expert focused on issues such as maturation, support and funding of projects; certified Cameroon original label; challenges faced by the Diaspora to save in microfinance institutions; land procedure and real estate development and distance-learning. Another theme was on the sector of ICTs and Green Economy on the theme, “ICT: Innovation, entrepreneurship and Green Economy.” The third workshop was on the Education and vocational training sector that held on the theme, “National strategy for education, vocational training and employment.” The last workshop was on the sector of Communication and Public Relations on the theme, “Management of communication with the Cameroonian Diaspora”
