Cameroon-Rwanda: Convergent Views On Development Issues


Reinforcing cooperation between both countries came under focus yesterday in an audience at the Ministry of External Relations.

The Minister Delegate at the Ministry of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Islamic World, Adoum Gargoum, yesterday April 12, 2018 had discussions with the Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to Cameroon, Jean Baptiste Habyalimana. Improving bilateral relations between both countries especially in the domains of socio-economic development were discussed during the audience.

Jean Baptiste Habyalimana said bilateral relations are evolving positively. “Improving bilateral ties between both countries featured on our discussions with the Minister Delegate. We talked about reinforcing cooperation in socio-economic development. I look forward to constantly exchanging on pertinent issues with the Ministry of External Relations of Cameroon to widen our scope of collaboration. We equally examined certain problems plaguing the continent like security, immigration and the management of refugees. Good intercontinental cooperation is needed to tackle these common challenges which are connected to development,” he stated.

Cameroon and Rwanda share common views in the areas of environmental protection, gender equality, education and trade.
