The newly designated Ambassador of Israel to Cameroon, Isi Yanouka has presented the advance copies of his letters of accreditation to the Minister of External Relations, Mbella Mbella. Ambassador Yanouka presented his accreditation documents on February 19; 2020 during an audience accorded him.
The Israeli diplomat going by his professional career was before his appointment the Director of Internal Organisations and Specialised Agencies Department at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a position he occupied from February 2018. Isi Yanouka joined the Israel Foreign Ministry in 1993 and has served his country both at home and abroad over the years. Between 2016 and 2018, he was Head of Brazilian Desk at the Division for Central and South America and the Caribbean. He has equally served as Ambassador of Israel to Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Benin and Burkina Faso with residence in Abidjan. Isi Yanouka occupied the position of Political Adviser at the Permanent Mission of Israel to the United Nations from 2010 to 2013. The Israeli diplomat has served in Cameroon as Deputy Head of Mission at the embassy of Israel in Yaounde between 1999 and 2001. He has held other positions such as Head of West African Desk at the Division for Africa, Head of Immunities and Privileges Desk at the Protocol Division, and Head of Foreign Diplomats and NGOs accreditation Desk at the Protocol Division, all at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to his educational career, Isi Yanouka has a Master’s degree in Governance and Public Diplomacy with a Bachelor’s degree in French Literature and Spanish and Latin American Studies. He is very good in French and English languages.
