The United Democratic Party (UDP), member of the Presidential majority in alliance with the  CPDM,  is on the field  in  the North West Region with appeals for the population to vote the CPDM candidate, Paul Biya on October 7, 2018.

Launching  campaigns ahead of the elections in Bamenda on September 22, 2018, the party’s  National chairman, El Had Lawan Bako  told militants that it will be unwise for Cameroonians to gamble with their future by voting  some of the  candidates in the race who feature as gamblers and novices in the leadership and  political game.

He said in times of insecurity like this, Paul Biya, the Wiseman of Africa emerges with experience and maturity to continue handling State affairs. El Hadj Lawan Bako said it is time for the truth to be told with illustrations that the CPDM  and the UDP are tried and tested political parties with leaders who have  excelled where most other parties have  failed woefully  to serve  the people of Cameroon.

The launching event featured a presentation of volumes of books showcasing President Paul Biya’s achievements at the helm of State. The CPDM candidate was presented as the liberator of the Cameroon  society, the man who introduced a free market economy, free press, facilitated political pluralism and a leader who is hailed for his policy of inclusion.

It emerged from the occasion that that Paul Biya is the man to vote because he led Cameroon to  regain the Bakassi peninsula from Nigeria. The UDP is leading campaigns on the platform of solutions to the socio-political crisis rocking the North West and South West regions in the believe that Paul Biya is the candidate to end the crisis. The event also had gifts for some internally displaced persons, escaping the socio-political crisis.
