Cameroon ‘s U-17 national team have emerged champion at the 2019 AFCON tournament in Tanzania.

The baby Lions grabbed the trophy this afternoon  (April 28, 2019) after bashing Guinea 5-3 on penalties.

 Despite the disqualification of three of their players at the start of the tournament due to age, the sending off of their captain during the semi-finals against Angola,  the Lions put up a good show through out the 120 minutes.

The last time the Cameroonian national team mounted the podium in this category was 16 years ago.
